On this Independence Day, let us remember our Dependence on God and the importance that our founders placed in freedom of worship for this country.

I Must Have Missed The Bad News…

June 22, 2009 by scottoncapecod

Remember the “Good Old Days”, the daily reports of just how much the American people “Disapproved of President Bush”, his “Cowboy” diplomacy, and don’t forget their unabashed, vitriolic hatred of V.P. Cheney. Well, it must be that the MSM aka “Lame Stream Media” got religion and are now kinder and gentler as a result of their worship at the feet of the Great and Powerful OzBama…
Otherwise, how would we explain their lack of reporting on BHO loosing his appeal to Americans, (word is still out from the “Citizens of the World”) and the increase in America’s Disapproval of him.

The brave folks at Gallup offer the following graph of this apparently unimportant “News”.

Remember Why The Colonists Left England…Freedom

The Massachusetts Body of Liberties
(1641)

[The Massachusetts “Body of Liberties,” the first code of laws established in New England, was compiled by Nathaniel Ward (c. 1578–1652) a leading English Puritan minister, who had been trained as a lawyer. He came to the colony in 1634, and was for a time pastor at Ipswich. The “Liberties” were established by the Massachusetts General Court in December, 1641.]

Imagine If Pres. Bush Said…

June 4, 2009 by scottoncapecod

“So I have known Christianity on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Christians must be based on what Christianity is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Christianity wherever they appear.”

BHO Egypt HonorYet, when the Defender in Chief  utters the following in Cairo this morning:

So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.

I just am amazed at the Double Standard that exists…

And in case you thought that you were not paying attention to the Oath that Barack Hussein Obama took on 1/20/09… Here it is:

“I, Barack Hussein Obama, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and I will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

I missed that part about Defending Islam Stereotypes…

NOTE: A wise friend of mine offered this interpretation… By claiming America’s alliance with the moderate Islam elements, he has essentially told Iran, we (and Israel) are justified in what we will be doing to you when you cross the line in the sand (as it were).  I hope that is the case, and I pray that the Obama State Department has that level of insight to actually mean what my friend has concluded.

General Motors New Mr. GoodWrench

June 1, 2009 by scottoncapecod

GM-World-HQ-BHO

So, we are now 60% owners in the “New GM”. (I heard that Former President Clinton and some other private investors just bought Hummer, but that has not been conformed.)

It was said 50 years ago, by then-General Motors President Charles Wilson reportedly said “What’s good for General Motors is good for the country.” Back in the day, that probably was correct. But what is going on now is far from that.  I would argue it is bad for both America and General Motors in that we have overstepped the role of government (my high school U.S. History class definition was the following: “Government exists to provide for its citizens the services that they can not provide for themselves such as Security from foreign enemies, and the rule of law…”) nowhere do I recall taking over major industry and nationalizing private companies.  With the actions previously in the Chrysler bailout, and this latest action with GM, coupled with the TRILLIONS of dollars spent on other bail-outs of industries that were “too big to fail” we are on the road to Government Running Industries and Manufacturing…Seems that we called that Socialism back in High School…Now it’s called “Hope & Change” or is it “Hope & Change My Oil”?

I liked the way it use to be, when we could drive cars that we decided to buy because we liked the way they looked, not because the Government said we needed them, I could Barbecue out side without a moonbat lecturing me about my carbon footprint and the damage I was doing to the Polar Bears…I want my country back….

Sunshine Dodge Letter to the Editor

Sunshine Dodge

letter to the editor

My name is George C. Joseph. I am the sole owner of Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu, a family owned and operated business in Melbourne, Florida. My family bought and paid for this automobile franchise 35 years ago in 1974. I am the second generation to manage this business.

We currently employ 50+ people and before the economic slowdown we employed over 70 local people. We are active in the community and the local chamber of commerce. We deal with several dozen local vendors on a day to day basis and many more during a month. All depend on our business for part of their livelihood. We are financially strong with great respect in the market place and community. We have strong local presence and stability.

I work every day the store is open, nine to ten hours a day. I know most of our customers and all our employees. Sunshine Dodge is my life.

On Thursday, May 14, 2009 I was notified that my Dodge franchise, that we purchased, will be taken away from my family on June 9, 2009 without compensation and given to another dealer at no cost to them. My new vehicle inventory consists of 125 vehicles with a financed balance of 3 million dollars. This inventory becomes impossible to sell with no factory incentives beyond June 9, 2009. Without the Dodge franchise we can no longer sell a new Dodge as “new,” nor will we be able to do any warranty service work. Additionally, my Dodge parts inventory, (approximately $300,000.) is virtually worthless without the ability to perform warranty service. There is no offer from Chrysler to buy back the vehicles or parts inventory.

Our facility was recently totally renovated at Chrysler’s insistence, incurring a multi-million dollar debt in the form of a mortgage at Sun Trust Bank.

HOW IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CAN THIS HAPPEN?

THIS IS A PRIVATE BUSINESS NOT A GOVERNMENT ENTITY

This is beyond imagination! My business is being stolen from me through NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. We did NOTHING wrong.

This atrocity will most likely force my family into bankruptcy. This will also cause our 50+ employees to be unemployed. How will they provide for their families? This is a total economic disaster.

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN IN A FREE MARKET ECONOMY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

I beseech your help, and look forward to your reply. Thank you.

Sincerely,

George C. Joseph
President & Owner
Sunshine Dodge-Isuzu

This was read by Rush yesterday, I found it on PrisonPlanet’s web site. I went to the dealership website and thanked Mr. Joseph for writting such a fine letter… if you wish to do likewise here is the link to the site.

Best Dog Joke Ever…

May 19, 2009 by scottoncapecod

DogHouse

Jim was driving down the street and saw a sign in front of a house, “Talking Dog For Sale -$10″.

He went up knocked on the door, and asked the man if it is true that he has a talking dog for sale for $10.
The dogs owner said “He is around back, in his doghouse, go see for yourself.”

So, he went out back, saw the doghouse and a dog sitting inside.  He asked the dog “Excuse, me but can you speak?”
And to his amazement, the dog replied, “Why yes I can”

The man was amazed, He asked the dog about his life and how all this came to be?
The Dog told him: “Well, you see, when it was determined that I indeed could speak and understand human language, the Government took me and placed me in service for the country. I was used by the State Department and placed overseas in a variety of Embassy’s, I was able to foil many plots to harm the Country and capture spies and other evildoers because people never questioned saying things in the presence of a dog, so I was a valuable Government Agent and served the country for 10 years, but that is the equivalent of 70 human years, so i was faced with mandatory federal retirement. Ia was returned to my owner and have been living out my retirement years here in the backyard.”

Jim was blown away, and walked back to the front of the house and knocked on the front door again. The owner answered again and Jim asked him, “I just went back and talked to your dog, Are you seriously going to sell him for $10. I just listened to his story, all the things he did overseas for the Government, capturing Spies and foiling plots against our country, Hoe can you sell him for only $10?

The owner looked at him and said, “You bet I am gonna sell him, Hell, That Dog’s a liar, he didn’t do any of the stuff.”
